Kathmandu, January 19
Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has resigned from his post. He is preparing to contest the upcoming election on behalf of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and stepped down from the ministerial position ahead of filing his candidacy.
“I have already informed the Prime Minister about my resignation,” Minister Gupta told Onlinekhabar, adding that “only procedural formalities remain.”
He said he would now focus on the election campaign. Gupta had joined the Sushila Karki-led government as a representative of the younger generation.
